Golden future for Marathi Films. - Bhagyashree Patwardhan.

While addressing press conference at Solapur Bhagyashree said, “There is golden future for Marathi films, if audience continues their positive attitude about Marathi Films.” She was present at Prabhat Theatre for the show of film “Mi Havi Ka Tee Havi.” She appreciated Actor, Producer Sharad Bansode’s hard work and good abilities. She said I am very thankful to Sharad for giving debut Marathi film. She also says, “thanks to affectionate Solapurkars for giving me love.”

Asia’s first Black Belt Lady.

Sangeeta Jadhav from Solapur was the Asia’s first Black Belt achiever in 1988 in ladies when she was 18. From 1988 to 1990 there were no more competitors in ladies, so she had participated in men’s group and got Gold Medals in sequential 3 years. Although she was mother of two children’s, she participated in Germany and defeated 120 competitors in 1999. In 1986 she was elected as Indian Team Coach. Sangeeta & her Husband also wrote a famous book “RANRAG” on Ancient Warrior Art of India.
Now days she is well known in Solapur as social worker. She is the founder member of Sanskruti Pratishthan.

Premier Show of Marathi Movie at Prabhat Theatre.



Premier Show of Marathi Movie“Mi Havi Ka Tee Havi” was celebrated in Prabhat Theatre at Solapur. Film Producer, Story Writer, Director, Actor Sharad Bansode & Telugu actress Tejshree were present for ceremony. “Mi Havi Ka Tee Havi” was Sharad Bansode’s second movie after success of Mumbai Amchich. Sharad Bansode from Solapur is playing main role as Bhau, Maine Pyar Kiya fame Bhagyshree is playing his wife’s role & famous Telugu actress Tejashree is as Radhika. It is Bhagyshree & Tejashree`s debut Marathi film. This film is also dubbed in Telugu as “ Mogudu Penlam Mariyu Aavida”.

Ad. Ramdas Sabban is appointed as special prosecutor of Governor.

Mr. Ramdas Sabban advocate from Solapur is appointed as Special Prosecutor by Mr. M. C. Jameer, Governor of Maharashtra state. He is practicing in Mumbai High Court since from 20 years. He was also lecturer in Govt. Law College in Mumbai for five years & as lecturer for L.L.M. in Mumbai University for three years. He is member of administration committee of Solapur University.

SOLAPUR`S PRIDE IN BOLLYWOOD.

SARLA YEOLEKAR. Sarla Yeolekar opens the door of bollywood in 1975 by starring the Hindi Movie Zinda Dil. She was the first actress starring in Hindi Movie from Solapur. Her starring seventeen Hindi films list as follows- Kasam khoon ki [1977], Jay Vijay [1977], The great gambler [1979], Zaakol [1980], Daulat [1982], Insaaf kaun karega [1984], Dance Dance [1987], Aaj ke angarre [1988], Commando [1988], Doosara khoon & Love Love Love [1989], Aag se khelenge [1989], Nachnewale Gannewale [1991], Nichay [1992], Namak [1992]. She also plays roles several Marathi films.
ATUL KULKARNI.


Another star from Solapur is famous actor Mr. Atul Kulkarni. He played main role in ‘Satta` & as supporting actor in Hey Ram, Chandani Bar & ‘Rang De Basanti` with Amir Khan. He also got several national awards for famous roles. List is as follows. From 1989 to 1992 five best actor award & one best Director award in state level drama competition hold by Maharashtra state government. The play ‘Gandhi Viruddha Ganddhi` gave Atul 8 best actor awards for the year 1996. It was a record in Marathi Professional Theatre.
Atul received his first National Award for Best Actor in supporting role in the year 1999 for the film Hey Ram presented by K.R. Narayanan, the Honorable President of India.
In the year 2002, Atul received his second National Award for Best Actor in supporting role for the film Chandani Bar presented by A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, the Honorable President of India.
